Puppies 10 -20 weeks are welcome. We will cover foundational manners such as impulse control, sit, down, recalls, leash manners, name recognition, as well as socialization, desensitization, exposure, enrichment and over all confidence building. Puppies will have supervised playtime as well as more structured lessons.

This Class is for those who aren't comfortable in a group class prior to their full set of vaccinations but still want to ensure they are meeting their pups developmental growth stages during this critical stage of puppyhood. Why is this important? Puppies who aren't socialized early may develop fear-based behaviors, including fear of strangers, new environments, or other animals, which can lead to behaviour issues later in life. A well-socialized puppy is better equipped to learn new things throughout their life, including training commands, adapting to new environments, and forming positive relationships. Topics covered: What socialization actually means. What types of things to do in the home to socialize puppy. How to socialize your puppy with attention to different personalities ensuring positive experiences. Exposure to the sights, sounds of everyday life. This is a continuation of our Public Puppy class and includes outings to different locations throughout Essex County. Possible locations could include a veterinary office, groomer, stores, patios, parks etc. NOTE: only 2 of these locations will be visited per session at the discretion of the instructor.

Benefits puppies 8 weeks to 8 months, or before you bring your puppy home. THIS CLASS IS WITHOUT YOUR PUPPY. Puppies naturally go through an adjustment period where they are learning how to live in a human household. They exhibit natural puppy behaviours such as chewing, mouthing/biting, jumping up, barking, house training issues, crate training issues and more. Learn how to prevent resource guarding behaviour and reactivity. In this session we go over prevention and management tips on how to solve/prevent these things from turning into problem behaviours. This class will give you and your puppy a positive start to your dog/human relationship.

Level 1 Basic Manners - 6 weeks $180 Puppy graduates and new dogs 20 weeks of age and up are welcome. This is a basic obedience class focused on relationship building and communication. Basic cues such as sit, down, stay, wait, hand touch, recalls, loose leash walking, impulse control, place and so much more will be taught.

Builds on previous classes and is open to all previous level graduates. In these classes you will learn how to add in duration, distance, and distraction to all the basic cues taught in Level 1. New skills will be taught along with proofing previously learned behaviours.
